Dans le cadre du jumelage avec la ville de Ramsgate, en Angleterre, la classe de 3e7 a eu la visite de Laura Probert vendredi 30 septembre. Ancienne bibliothécaire qui vit à Ramsgate, elle est venue faire une conférence pour les élèves de 3e, sur la 1ere guerre mondiale, dans la ville de Ramsgate. Elle a illustré ses propos avec des images d’époque, a expliqué comment c’était de vivre à cette époque, et a répondu aux questions des élèves, tout cela en anglais. Cela s’est fait conjointement avec Mme Pornet, professeur d’histoire géographie, qui venait de traiter de ce chapitre dans le cadre de ses cours, et Mme Toyer, professeur d’anglais.

"I think it’s great because we learnt a lot about the 1st World War. Mrs Probert was kind and happy to tell us her story, it was interesting", Morjane.

"Some children of 15, 16 years old were engaged in the army", Ismaël.
"I liked it because it’s the first time I saw a real trench. It was a little hard to understand sometimes but it’s a good exercise for our English", Alicia.
"It was very interesting, we learnt more about the 1st World War", Tiago.
"We learnt her grandfather died during the 1st World War", Olivia, Arthur.
"I had already guessed most of the things she told us but it felt different because her grandfather had really lived it", Iris.
"I thought I wouldn’t understand but finally, it was simple. Mrs Probert looked happy, she gave happiness. It was very interesting !", Ariam.
